CNN Money: Pick-a-Payment Loans Turn Poisonous

by Chris Williamson on September 4, 2008

Wachovia Pick a Pay Turns PoisonousAs I was doing my usual scan of the morning news today, I came across this article at CNN Money: Pick-a-payment loans turn poisonous.

Since there’s a lot there to read, I’ll be brief. The article explains how and why people get into trouble with “pick-a-payment” mortgages (a.k.a. option ARMs). As I’ve said here before, any San Mateo mortgage advisor can give you a payment dollar amount you want – but it will always cost you someplace.

Be sure that you hire a San Mateo Mortgage Advisor that fully explains all the details of your San Mateo mortgage loan – costs, fees and all those other hidden surprises. If you’re not sure about your loan or have questions, give me a call at (650) 520-0915 or shoot me an email at info@SanMateoMortgageBlog.com. I’d be happy to go through the details of your San Mateo mortgage loan and help you determine if you are getting the best deal.
