Happy Labor Day!

It’s Labor Day

Today is Labor Day and as I sit in the Burlingame Starbucks having a relaxing day off, I realize that I have no idea the reason for Labor Day. To me, Labor Day weekend is the start of the college football season, which I have been waiting for since the end of last college football season. I normally take these holidays with no questions. I sit back, relax and get away from the office. So, on a do nothing holiday I have no clue about, here is a non-work related blog in the honor of a non-work related day.

What is Labor Day?

Since I have no clue, I wonder if the rest of you have no clue? If you do, good for you, you are one step ahead of me. If you’re as clueless as I, let me do the work for you on the non laborious day to explain what this holiday is.

After some research, what I discovered about Labor Day was profound and simply eye opening. I discovered that what I have been doing every Labor Day is exactly what I should be doing. I should sit back, enjoy the college football weekend, maybe light the barbeque and possibly enjoy an adult beverage. I should not be sitting here questioning the reason but enjoying what the day is, a day off!

I did put some effort into googling Labor Day, but I have decided in honor of this holiday not to outline or give you my thoughts, as this would contradict the meaning of today. If you’re still curious about Labor Day, click the links below.

But don’t do it today, because clicking on links would be too much work for such a great holiday. Read it tomorrow, sometime after your alarm clock reminds you that Labor Day is officially over.

Enjoy your Labor Day San Mateo; the laptop is closed for today!
